I would like to find a new home for my 2008 Specialized S-Works Tarmac that is set up as an aero bike. It is very fun to ride and at only $995 would provide someone with a very economical way to get in some aero miles in competition or just fun and fast solo riding. .

The bike came from New Moon in 2008 and was ridden regularly by myself until the fall of 2012. At that time it met with an unfortunate accident as I drove in to the garage with the bike on the roof of my car. The bike sustained a broken fork and some cosmetic damage. After I stopped crying, I had the bike inspected by Matt Appleman, a custom carbon fiber bike frame builder in Minneapolis. His recommendation was to replace the fork, headset, and bars and continue to ride the bike listening for any unusual noises, handling irregularities, and to inspect it regularly. This I have done now for the last four riding seasons. Although it did not get used as frequently as it did before the accident, it has not shown any sign of problems in handling or frame noise.

At the present time I have decided that serious time trialing is not in the future for me and that I have a few too many bikes. I recognize that a bike with this one's history is not considered to be in "prime" condition. Hence I am asking a price which is probably less than the components and wheels would bring individually. Take a look at the description below. Every thing was first class at the time of its purchase. The Hed 3 wheels which have very few miles on them alone are listed at $2700.

I also have a few extras such as a set of Mavic Ksyrium clincher type wheels that make training a little less worrisome than with the tubular type wheels. These and a few other items could also be had cheap but are not included with the asking price.
